Routine Maintenance Notice

Routine maintenance is performed on Network Services servers every Friday morning between 6am and 8 am. During this time, some servers may become unavailable for short periods of time.


Just Dial 5830 for Network Status!

Did you know you can dial 5830 (on-campus) or 734-432-5830 (off-campus) for a recorded message that tells you the ‘current status’ of the Madonna network? You can, with the new Madonna University Network Status Line

Madonna University’s Network Services department is proud to present the Network Status Line. Please feel free to call the Network Status Line if you want to know if the network is experiencing any unusual problems or to see how an incoming storm is affecting our network. Network Services will use the Network Status Line to inform you if it is threatened by a storm or other possible disasters; as well as inform you of other network problems such as with the Internet, our administrative software, or Blackboard. 

If the threat of a power outage exists, the Network Status Line will inform you when you should turn off your desktop computer and when it is safe to turn it back on. 

Please keep in mind that the Network Status Line is for broadcasting only so please do not leave a message on the voice mail. If you feel you need to talk to a person, please call the IT Help Desk at 5800


*NOTE

During Network Wide Outages, NO University Network services are available on or off-campus.  Usually, this is the result of a major failure such as an electrical power outage in the Network Communications room or campus wide.

During ISP Originated Outages, access to and from the University via the Internet is interrupted.  On-campus services such as BlackBoard, on-line registration, and access to network printers are available in the labs, classrooms, and offices.
